Well, since it's not a Forest River product, I'll not comment.
I know very little about their products.

Here’s how I winterized my 16BHS WOLFPUP. There is no winterizing hose so I bought the campco kit and actually ended up using just the hose and adaptor. I just disconnected the FW tank hose from the pump, screwed on the tube for the RV antifreeze the turned the pump on and ran it all through the lines and poured some down into the ptraps.

I’ll just use a hose clamp to hook the FW tank hose back into the pump. I didn’t want to splice in the valve. One reason is someone said on an amazon review the valve can restrict the throughput of water and by the looks of the hole I’m sure it would. Also I didn’t have a lot of room to splice it in.

I've always put the antifreeze in my FW water tank to winterize. The again too, my wife and I NEVER use our fresh water tank as we always to go parks with at least water and electric. I take the rod out of the hot water heater tank to let it drain, open up the low point drains, turn the by pass valves on the hot water heater,, close the low point drains, put about 4 gallons of the pink stuff in my FW tank, run it through my toilet, shower faucet, shower head, bathroom faucet, and kitchen faucet. Takes 30 minutes, easy peasy.

To each their own I guess. Come the first trip of the year, once we hook up the water, I let all of the faucets run for quite some time to flush the water lines out.

I'm sure you're right, but I also like to pump a bunch thorough to get it into my traps and the grey and blackwater tank.
