Fresh water tank

Hello everyone. I am a newby here and need some info. I have an 06 34 ft work and play fifth wheel that I have used twice. I just found out that water dumps off the top of the freshwater tank when adding water. It does not leak on the inside of the rv. After its filled it doesn't leak. Anyone have a problem like this or know the fix?

Haven't heard of that before, but it sounds like the connection from the fill hose to the tank is loose and leaking at that point.

If you can find the hose, maybe the bore through the subfloor to the tank might be big enough, otherwise, you'll have to drop the tank.

Well I got a good look at the problem yesterday evenin. You were right. The connection line was broken at the tank nipple. I will have to drop the tank for access. Doesn't look to be that difficult. Thanks for the input.

My 2008 34fk does exactly the same thing. I think when they install the tank, they damaged or kinked the filler pipe or hose. Will have to drop the tank to repair

Freshwater tank

The hose is offset from the inlet and the tank nipple but this is not a problem. I believe the problem is the quality of the inlet hose. It seems to be some sort of vacuum cleaner type hose. I am replacing mine with a more durable hose. So far this is the only problem I've had and I've been through a few RV's that are a constant problem.
