Lockable Battery Boxes

My 25 UDT has an issue with loss of battery charge due to the propane detector, radio and what ever else is drawing 12 v power.

I am in the process of installing a 12 v disconnect, and decided that since my battery is sitting out on the open front (gen carrier) ...no gen is in the compartment... that I would need to protect the battery from theft.. So have been going crazy trying to find a large enough battery box that will not break the bank, and at the same time...allow for the switch to be mounted inside the box....

Does anyone have any ideas...as I cannot seem to find a suitable box...it needs to be for a standard deep cell battery (single) and the switch which can be mounted to its wall.

And yes, lockable...as I find...locks generally keep you honest, and will deter someone who has to work a bit to steal something.

May sound crazy, but take a look at tackle boxes. Various sizes are available, they're usually waterproof and lockable.

Battery-Disconnect Switch - Will Fit Both Side Post and Top Post : Amazon.com : Automotive pick one that fits your battery box. I don't need a lockable box, I have a red-neck storage site owner. The sign on the entrance is to the effect, no trespassing, nothing on this property is worth your life.

Check out this thread. He had a great idea for a battery box and you will have room for other things in the box also.
Problem: with new mods
