mattress replacement

Any body every replace the mattress in the drop down bed on a 21vfb? The mattress on there, in my opinion sucks. I put a memory foam under it and that helped a little but still feel like I'm lying on the damn frame every time I sleep. We are looking for an affordable replacement.

Thicker memory foam. If a memory foam won't work for you, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a mattress that will do more. I'm pretty sure Stearns & Foster doesn't make RV matresses... Lol.

Oh wait... Why would you put the memory foam UNDER the mattress? Put it on top.

We added foam mattresses to our bunks- what was there originally was about 2 1/2" thick and didn't support adults whatsoever.

I ordered 4" foam from www.foambymail.com in custom sizes. I was comfortable with just the foam laying on the floor. We don't have height issues, so I just put them under the original mattresses.

I'm also confused why you're putting the topper under the mattress?

I put memory 3" foam on top, did not help much. Going to put 1/2" plywood in the frame and screw it down then put the mattress's back down. Should improve it a lot.

We just use a memory foam (3in) and no mattress. It works great for us and my husband is a picky sleeper.
