Question on Exterior Length?

Posting in Work and Play sub-forum as it is model specific.

Almost ready to lay down the money, when brochure mentions "Exterior Length" is this measurement from front tongue ball all the way to the rear door or living space (front bedroom) to rear door? Model I'm looking at is 2016 34WRS.

Thanks in advance.

Not consistent. Could be length if box or trailer minus the spare tire sticking out the rear. When i was shopping online i would get conflicting answers from different dealers. I had to ask if the 32' trailer would fit in a 34' garage with door closed. The answer was an immediate "no." I don't have a garage but that's the only way I could get an accurate answer. Good luck.

I called Forest River this morning and they said the 40 ft is from ball hitch to ramp. The "box" is 37 ft 5 in for the 2016 34WRS.

That sounds about right my 2011 WR is 36.5 total length and if you were to add 4 more feet that would make it over 40 feet...

Our WPF40RLS is 43'7" from tip to tail, which happens to be from the rear ramp door swing handles to the front edge of the hitch

She fit in our 47' (interior) deep barn with a big foot and a half on each end to spare.

the number in the model number is floor plan/living space. Exterior total length will always be a few feet more. That's the one you also need to go with when looking for camping sites

Our 26DBH is 28 feet from the furthest point in the front of the box to the back....and almost 31 feet from tongue to back bumper.
