Looking to mount some brackets in the garage of my new 38RLS. What length of screws should I use? I will be securing some base cabinets. thanks in advance.
The walls on my 18LT are 3/4 inch plywood. Anything longer will stick through, not good. You can verify by checking wall thickness at the side vents. Open one, and measure.
3/4" is a good choice. The interior paneling is 1/4" thick (at least on my 2010 WPT30WR), so you would have slightly less than 1/2" of bite into the 3/4" ply, which should be plenty as long as there are enough screws for the load. Mark your drill bit with a piece of duct tape so you know when to stop. 5/8" depth would be pretty safe. Drilling all the way thru would be really bad as well.
