1st Post... Need help already ;-)

Hi,

I just traded in a 2004 23LB for a 2012 8528BHSS. Well, yesterday I wanted to make sure everything was ready for our first trip so decided to hook it up and to verify it was level behind the truck and my clearance was good.

Well... clearance wasn't good enough and I was able to damage the front cap... Yep, on my brand new unit

Structure is still good, it is more aesthetic than anything

My question is: What is the front cap made of? Is it plastic of fiberglass? How can I fix the dents?

Thanks in advance

Wow, sorry to hear about your mishap. Glad everything is just cosmetic and not structural.

The website says that its a "TPO High Gloss Front Cap".

I would have the dealer fix it and first check with your insurance coverage.

If you intend to DIY, there are patches for TPO roofs that I can point you to from Alpha, but the gloss would be gone using something like that.

By the way

Now I feel kind of stupid... I didn't even think about looking on the ForestRiver website...

Already called insurances and I'm fully covered, just trying to avoid going that route since I'll get increased next year...

Oh well, maybe it is the best thing to do. Trailer is new and I want it to look new... at least for a year ;-)

Thanks

Glad I could help.

Give your thread a day or two. Maybe someone with your unit can chime in with an easy fix for you.
