1st Trip out and two problems

We just returned from our first trip in our new 27RLWS. We had a good time even with rainy weather. We did have two issues. First is a water leak on the back of the water heater. Right where the red tube (hot water out?) meets the brass fixture. It's a slow drip but a leak nonetheless. I will return to the dealer for a warranty repair. Click image for larger version

ID:	71718Second issue was with the electric stabilzers. As we were packing to leave we retracted the stabilizers simultaneously. The front came all the way up and the back came up about 2/3'rds then stopped. I got no response from either set after that. I checked all the fuses, none were showing the red light, indicating a blown fuse. I checked the three down by the battery all were good. I was of of shore power at that time. I attempted to reset the system by turning the battery disconnect off and back on. No luck there. I'm stumped! Any help would be appreciated.

My brother's stopped once and reset themselves after a while. I think he found out the electric motors has overload shutoffs built in. Or something like that. Hope yours get corrected that easily

Check actual fuse in the panel by pulling it out, don't rely on red light.

Found a blown 20amp fuse. Replaced it but the jacks are still not working. Will they run on battery power?

You were correct. The blown fuse did not have the red light on display as the PDI told me it would. Thanks

Yes these should run on battery or/and shore power.

So they still did not work after replacing the fuse. I will have the dealer look at them when I take it in for the water heater leak. Thanks.

Do they work on shore power? Is your battery disconnect on?

I have it in storage with no access to shore power currently. The battery disconnect is connected and it has a full charge.

OK, as sometimes it is the mini-breaker underneath the trailer near tongue that is tripped and needs to be re-set (small black button) (when it works on shore power but not on battery alone)

Wow they are putting mini breakers on now? Nice. Just haven't replaced mine yet as I have a fist full of fuses. Been there done that before. Nothing like crawling under the a frame in a rainy day. What a bs place to put fuses.
By the way...there is a fuse under the a frame for the stab Jacks too. Like I said, I have a fist full of fuses. No idea why they blew out on me last year. Hasn't done it in a while. Maybe FR buys cheap Chinese fuses too.

Well the soft breaker reset didn't work. The black button was very "soft". It floated really. I couldn't get it to pop in or out. Any idea what that might mean?

Most likely it is damaged. Time to pull out the multi-meter if you have one and start testing. Need to check for 12 + on either side of the mini-breaker to see if good or not.

I still have the old fuses too. I was unaware of the soft fuse. I replaced the 20 fuse that was blown and they still do not work.

Hi most likely the reset able overload is not tripled. The reason the overload is there is to protect the tt wiring from the battery to the trailer. The battery has a huge amount of amps available and will make the battery wire turn red hot if it shorts out to the tt frame and burn the unit down. If you were having trouble with this overload the 12 volts to the tt would be lost. No lights or power with the tt not plugged in to 110 volts shore power.

Hope this helps Tim

Picked up the trailer from the dealer today after having the water heater fixed. They replaced the clamp with a compression joint. Hopefully that will remedy that.

As for the power stabilizer jacks. I'm almost too embarrassed to say what it was but in the interest of preventing this from happening to someone else... At the time I pulled the fuse and found it to be burnt I went outside and grabbed a spare fuse. When I returned there were two empty slots. I put the new fuse in a spare (unused) slot. I misread the labeling as it was stamped and off a bit. Thus they never worked. I didn't catch the labeling issue. Oh well the tech was very friendly about it and the lesson has been learned.

Both issues were repaired at no cost too.

Many thanks to all for your input!
