2013 V-Lite 30wfkss

We will be picking up our new 2013 V-Lite 30wfkss on Monday. I've had many sleepless nights concerned with towing this big of a rig. I have a 2010 F-150 Super Crew with a 5.4 6-speed. It does not have the EcoBoost. 3.73 rear end. Those who are familiar with this rig --- am I in for an eventful ride when I pick it up?

As long as you have the weight distributing hitch you should be ok. Look over this guide for more info, there are some foot notes referring to a Max trailer towing package

We just picked up the Rockwood equivalent or your RV ten days ago. My tow vehicle is a 1500 Silverado with 5.3L and 6 speed automatic. I had some initial concerns with stability with passing semis but after the first few passed me all my concerns faded away. I am using a 4 point Equalizer hitch. Brought it back to Florida from Chattanoga with no issues. Enjoy your new rig.

We have the Windjammer version of your trailer and we started out towing with the exact rig hehbr describes. We started out camping just in the flat lands of the Midwest. Truck did fine but I felt it would be over matched once we started into elevations. We switched to the Ecoboost and have loved it so far.

Thank each of you on your comments. I feel a lot better. I misstated my rear axle, though it is a 3.55.

If the truck wants 3K+ RPM's on big hills let it rev. You will be surprised how much power there is. You didn't say what kind of hitch you are getting.

Anytime. That's what these forums are for, to help each other.
