Sorry to see this happened to you. We had a close call on our last trip with someone trying to beat a truck, lucky for us they stopped in time. People are either in a rush to be first or not looking.

Hope everything turns out for you. Keep us posted, I'm curious to see how it turns out.

Will be interesting to hear what your insurance company says. As previously pointed out probably depends on whether or not frame is bent. My son had his pop-up in a storage building when the roof collapsed due to snow. He camper was obviously bent down in the middle and was totaled. best part is he bought the unit used, had it a couple years and the insurance pay off was more than he paid of the unit when he bought it. Surely would not be so lucky with a months old unit.

God luck!

microlite is it totaled?

I would haul it to the coming frog rally in August and hand it to them, see what they can do, let them have it and drive home!
They do wounderful work and will do more that they let on.

Back on topic...sorry your shiny new TT got dinged up. Hopefully it's fixable and the liable party was insured. Good luck!
Personally I think the penalty should be higher. At least a drunk is looking at the road. Cell phone junkies are are a menace on the road.

Oh heck, this past year we have passed semis where the driver was reading a book and another that was watching a movie. I just don't get it. But we did call the 1-800 number that was on the back of the trailer of one of them, after we got brave enough to let him pass us.

You should do all of your claims work through your own insurance company. Remember that the other insurance company will be trying to get off the hook. Several years ago, DW had an accident with the other party at fault. Their insurance adjuster called us and started the conversation with DW hitting the other party. It was a pretty short conversation when the adjuster was advised that he already had his facts wrong-his insured was at fault hitting us. Our insurance negotiated and we received the proper payment for damages.

Excellent advice!
