2019 Flagstaff 27bhws

Hello!! We decided to trade our 23ikss in and ordered the 27bhws. We love the floor plan and it’s about the biggest we were comfortable with for the TV we have. Just wondering if there is anything common with this coach we should look for during Pdi? How does everyone like it?

You should really like this camper. A year ago we were in the same situation, wanting to trade our ikss for a bh camper. The 27bhws was one of the two finalists we narrowed our search to, but ended up going with sob. The weight and tongue weight of the flagstaff were just too much for my truck, and I couldn't afford both a camper and a truck.

We toured the factory and saw some being built. I recommend the trip. You aren't that far away and it would be a good day trip.

We really liked the floor plan. We looked at several units it was between the Flagstaff and a Grand Design 2800bh. They both had there pros and cons, we just felt the flagstaff suited us better
I would love to go on the tour, I’m going to look into it.

I wanted a full slide out bunkhouse from the start, but was nervous about the length/etc.. but we found someone selling a 2018 831BHWSS for the deal of a lifetime.. so we took it. And I found that the bigger they are, the easier they pull/backup.

Good to know. I’m pretty nervous about pulling 7 ft longer camper..Did you have any problems out of the 27bhws? Any thing to look out for

Dont be nervous, they pull nice. A few things though.. the front storage on these are HUGE.. watch out how much stuff you throw in there because tongue weight can add up quick. And the fridge handles are a bit different so try to find a way to lock them open when not in use.. the typical dometic ones dont work on it, and if you leave them closed they mold. Speaking of fridges.. shut off the breaker to your outside kitchen.. i keep my TT plugged in at home.. never thought about outdoor fridge running.. it gets cold quick. Lets just say i had a lot of fridge cleaning to do. Also get yourself a rhino sewage Y.. and 3 hoses.. I ended up camping 3 times until i got all i needed.. that separate grey tank fills fast, and moving the hose sucks.. and when in the kitchen, the stove ignition button is in an interesting place.. you’ll probably lean against it a lot. aside from that, i had no other issues.

Not sure why you think it's 27' long.
Its almost 33' tongue to bumper, at 32'10" long.
The number in the model number has nothing to do with actual length. Maybe box length.

I’ve had the 27 BHWS for a year now and love it. I haven’t had any real issues and I lived in it through a SW Montana winter. I didn’t have any issues with the walkthrough either so I’d recommend to just be thorough and don’t be rushed. You’ll love the TT!

Thanks we really love our Flagstaff Shamrock and haven’t had any problems but we are all over the hybrid life.

We have a 27BHWS that we bought from Colerain July of 2017 but it was a 2018 model, we took it to Florida last year and to Yellowstone this past June. We are a family of 5 and it has been great for us. Just of couple of minor things here and there but service has been good when we've taken it in. I'm happy with the trailer overall and don't see changing anytime soon!

Glad to hear it has been good for you!!! We really like Colerain so far... If you don’t mind me asking what are you pulling it with? And did you have any issues cooling it in the heat? We ordered ours with 15k single a/c... non of the parks we go to has 50amp service

I have a 2014 ram 2500 with the 5.7, no problem cooling with the 15k having a thermostat is nice. The larger propane tanks are nice to for the furnace. When we ordered ours it took right at 3 months so hopefully you don’t have long before yours comes in.
