21 FBRS Shakeout trip

Wife and I are 2 days into our first trip with the new camper. A couple of thoughts I would like to share:

Thank you for all the information everyone has provided on this site. We have learned what to watch for, what to prepare for, what to expect and what we needed.

The site next to is burned thier power cord. Not sure if the problem was the post or with the cord, but they had a melted power cord and left. We bought a progressive EMS and know we are protected.

Next to all the other TTs and fifth wheels, this thing looks positively TINY, but once inside it seems so HUGE. Very happy with the our purchase and how it is laid out. While many of the posts on the forums here speak of major issues, we have had very little (knock on firewood).

Other than trying to figure out where we put things, my biggest compliant has been that the fan placement above the bed makes it very bright in the morning when we want sleep in. Once we figure out how to get a kids car shade to stay over the opening, we will have that problem solved.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend of camping.

I installed this vent shade and it works rather well for blocking out the light in the mornings (and any other time, actually)

Remember....there is not a perfect TT. And they are all built by humans. I have a 21FBRS and love it. Have I had issues, yes. They have all been fixed at no expense to me. Do not let the little things spoil your good times in life.

We did take our camper in at the end of our trip Monday, we have a few small items that we have noticed as we used the camper. Some small things like the screen on the window not aligned etc. The only major issues we have are the drawer under the sink fell out and will not go back in and there seems to be a very soft spot under the floor in front of our oven and Stove. We are still very happy with our purchase, the floor does concern us, but it's under warrently for the next 23 months so we should be fine

Hope your first trip goes well. Our first trip in our 23LB went fabulous and we made sure we put the surge protector on the pole!
