26 RLWS

I have a new Flagstaff 26rlws on order but I have several questions I'm not sure of. The awning has a LED light strip. Is it at the end of the awning when extended or back near the camper? Is there a separate switch that controls the LED light strip inside.
I don't understand the "scare lights". Are they motion sensing or are they just on a switch inside.
Thanks for your help

Congrats on new 26rlws. We have a 21fbrs & it does have the LED strip. It is located under the awning on the side of the TT. It is controlled by a switch on panel marked scare light (what ever that is). Love the light it gives off, but by my experience & info here on the Forum, it is not very durable. Mine is already having to be replaced only after about five months. It is losing individual LED's. But I like it so much that as long as they will fix it or replace it under warranty, I'll have it done; not sure after that.
Anyway, enjoy.

On my Rockwood 2604WS (same trailer as the 26RLWS) the LED is next to the camper. It is on a seperate switch inside labeled porch. The scare lights are bright white lights on each side of the camper. They are not motion sensors. Just a switch but they are bright.

They are called scare lights as once turned on, they "'scare" away critters and folks that shouldn't be there. Hence...scare lights.

We are new to RVing and also bought a new 26RLWS as our first TT. Maybe we don't know any better but we absolutely love it!! We have had a few warranty items but nothing serious. We used this Forum to get advice on adding two more Fan-tastic fans--based on the advice we decided to do it!!

Enjoy and Welcome!

It's good to hear you are happy with your trailer. We bought a coachmen last year but we wanted a bigger slide out and it still had to fit in my 30' driveway. Looking forward to it coming in and getting out in it.

More questions. Has anybody used the outside grill? I guess it mounts on the rail that is outside or is there a shelf that mounts to the rail and the grill sits on it. Every trailer we looked at had the grill still in a box sitting in the shower. I forgot to look and see exactly what it was.

The scare lights are too bright. If you want to be a good neighbour please turn off lights at night. There is nothing worst then trying to sleep and the trailer next door has left there lights on shining into your bedroom and making it as bright as daylight.

Caper I totally agree with you on that. Had that happen once and it sucked.

We bought our 27RLWS last year and camped numerous times with it. The outside bbq that came with it is still in the box and in the basement. Personally I wouldn't hang the bbq and or the little table on that rail. Best to ignore the rail as if it wasn't there. Bought a Weber 1000 that sits on the picnic table just fine.
