26 RLWS pickup tomorrow

Excited to be getting our new camper tomorrow. I hope the PDI goes well and we have no problems.

Go through that camper with a serious eye. Don't let them push you and pull and check everything. Hook up water check gas heat and electric. Run the water pump fill fresh water tank and pump water. Look at roof real good. Take off screwed down panels. I took the panels off below our sink where the heater is and found balled up newspaper between the wall and heater exhaust. Nice fire starter. Campers are like new homes. All kinds of junk gets hidden behind the walls and closed spaces.
Good luck to you. Bring your tools to the walk through.
Pick up some red sticky tape to mark items for repair or replacement. I made them hook the water and the kitchen facet broke as I turned on the tap. "Okay fix this"

Take your time and go over the unit REAL GOOD. Check everything out to make sure it works.
Take a pdi check list with you, heres one. Forest River Forums - Downloads - PDI Checklist
If you having the dealer set up a wdh, make sure they do it right. TT and truck level as possible before you leave. My dealer is O for 2 on setting them up right, had to do it myself.

Congrats and enjoy!

Platokidd is correct. My dealer set up my Equilizer 1200 for me. Bless them. When I got home in thought something looked odd. The best distance was 32" from the center of the ball to the a frame brackets with no shorter than like.. .29". They attached them around 25" because it was the easiest place to get to. So...outcome my tools and I read the directions and did it correct. Pulled a lot better.

It's home! Only had a couple problems. The transport driver broke a door to the charging station using the slide. We found a tear in the fabric on one of the shiver rockers. But all will get fixed. Looking forward to our first trip.

Hope all is going well. We have completed 17 nights in 2 ½ months in our 26RLWS. It's been a huge learning process. You have bought a very nice trailer and floor plan. Best wishes and happy camping!!

I've been stocking and the wife has been decorating. The first thing my wife did was rip off the borders inside. She started ripping it off at the dealer during the PDI. Everything is looking good so far. Anxious to get it out and camp. It may be a couple weeks yet.

Looks very nice!

What size TV is in there? Ours is a 22" with plenty of space around it.

Also, during the PDI did they show you how to manually open / close the slide? I have no idea, and have asked other campers, and those at this site with no luck.

Enjoy it....again, it looks very nice!

The TV is a 29" factory TV. I haven't tried it but the slide is supposed to be able to close using a crank that was in the outside storage. You insert it into a hole by the tires on the door side.

Thank you for the info and manual slide. I see no place to allow for the crank so I'm assuming (from the video) mine will be under the trailer and covered up by the under belly covering.

Not to hijack your thread.....your unit looks great, enjoy it!

This picture shows a red arrow where the hole is for the crank on my unit. Supposedly, I haven't tried it yet.

Like the easy access, beat the heck outta laying on your back under the camper.
