While I'm here I can see why the 27RLWS is so popular - it's a nice looking unit. Great pictures! They make me want to get out and camp again even through I've only been home less than 2 days from my trip.

l know what you mean. I typically don't feel like leaving in the first place!

Yes its a fine trailer - good balance of size, features and layout.

Just ordered a 27RLWS. We have had 5 RV's but sold the last one 8 years ago, a Dutch Star class A. It is really cool to see a number of threads on this specific floorplan. Having been around the block a few times we know what we want and can't believe Flagstaff/Rockwood are the only ones to offer this floorplan. It really fills almost every square! We are very excited to get back into the RV lifestyle, just have to wait 8 weeks for the factory order. Dan

Congratulations and welcome to the thread. We loved the floor plan the minute we saw it. We ran into another couple last weekend who just got theirs delivered and they too loved it. Good luck and keep us posted.

We toured the factory last year while at the Goshen rally and they had the emerald package model sitting outside on display. The DW made up her mind on the spot that we would be trading our micro lite when we got home; she loved the cabinets and the roominess of the living room. Cheyenne in Walcott did not have the emerald package in stock and I wanted to get away from pulling a tag-a-long, so she relented and we spent another 10K and got our 5th wheel. Luckily she has not regretted our decision. My siblings are of the opinion that my DW had drugged me cause my reputation is that I am somewhat frugal and I would not have spent that much otherwise.

Good to hear from all the happy owners! We got the emerald package also. The dealer tried hard to talk me out of the power stabilizers but I am used to having them on motorhomes so ordered them anyways. I know they don't level (just stabilize). Searching the threads here people that have them seem to be happy with them. Flagstaff has sure come a long ways in the last 20 years, very nice looking units.

Said there were reliability issues but mostly felt that standard jacks with a cordless drill is the best way to go. At this stage of my life if I can stand and push a button that is the way I want to go. On my knees in the mud to save money is in the past.

I do use a folded floor mat to kneel on which helps with being on a hard surface but I wouldn't mind pushing a button instead.

Thanks. They work about the same but I don't like the look of 4 scissors jacks at the corners - tacky. More reliable though - no fuses to blow.

There is more to the Emerald Package than the nice stabilizer jacks and the electric front jack. My cranking days are over. I love the Emerald package.

Question about couch

We just picked up our 27rlws and need some help. The couch front legs are above the floor about 1 to 1 1/2 inches. When you sit at the front edge of the couch it tips forward. Also when you fold it out for a bed it also tips badly when you are doing this. Is this normal? We asked the dealer and they didn't know and they are supposed to check. Other than that we are very pleased with it. It has the free standing table and chairs and the wife wanted the king dinette and we will have to take it back to have that installed when it comes in. So we will make a list of any thing to be fixed at that time.

The dealer did not know if this is normal?! I am surprised.

No it is not normal. The sofa bed is supposed to sit properly on the floor so if the front edge legs of yours is off the floor then something is wrong. I do't know how it is fixed to the slideout but it would seem that something needs to be adjusted and the dealer should have taken care of this at the PDI.

Mine did that when I first got it. Mine had one screw in the back that had pulled out of the floor. The other side didn't even have a screw. So I replaced the one that had pulled out and added one to the other side. Then I came back and added one more to each side and have had no more problems with it.

Do you remember how long the screws you used were. I will fix it if that is all it is.
Thanks for the reply.

No, I used the same length that was already in the one side. The board they have to go thru is 5/8 or 3/4 then add another 5/8 or 3/4 to go in the floor.

A dealer who has no clue? What?
Pull the back of the sofa down and there should be 3 (three) screws on each side on the bottom of the sofa towards the back of the sofa. There should be some in the front too. Not sure how long they are as I haven't removed them. It's quite possible they were over tightened and the heads popped off. I have to remove my screws and slide the sofa about 1/4" as it hits the wall of the camper. Doesn't do it as bad since I removed the air bed. I had thought about taking the entire sofa off the slide and removing the silly looking front legs. Since they don't have a purpose, I thought the legs would look better in a drawer in my garage.

Looks like sofa problems are common with this model.
