Thank you, we looked at a lot of TTs and this floor plan really suits our needs, I had a 2013 21 FBRS, Liked it but was to small, so traded up to the 2015 27 RLWS. I have had Slide in campers, A van conversion on a 1 ton ford van, and of course tents. This is by far the largest TT we have ever had and are very excited about it. I am in the heart of camping paradise here. at least 25 parks within 125 miles and excellent fishing.

Yes you are in a great area. We went through there a number of years ago pulling a 31 foot trailer we used to have on our way to Colorado. We sold the trailer when the kids left home thinking we would fly or hotel it. Well last year we got back into the 2103 Salem Cruise lite 221. We did not realize how much we missed camping. But thought the 24 foot would be all we need for just the 2 of us. And its nice and cozy but sure miss the 31 footer with the luxury and space. Don't want to go any larger so we can stay with a 1/2 ton TV.

Enjoy the fishing.

Max trailer weight is 7500#. Your Ram should be okay depending on the rear end - have no idea what these are on those trucks.

We bought our 27RLWS and towed it with a 2005 Dodge 1500 hemi 4x4. A few months later in traded the 1500 for a 2500. Pulls a lot better and no more worries about the mountains. The 1500 did pull it but was a strain on the higher steeper hills.

Just returned from a 750 mile round trip with a Rockwood 2703ws (same as a 27rlws). Part of this trip was on interstate. Semis coming up from behind a little hairy. I prefer the back roads, more scenery and driving at 55 I get 11 mpg. On the interstate they run you off the road at that speed.

I have found semis to be some of the best drivers on the road and the car drivers are the a**holes who give no thought to the fact that you are not able to slow, manoeuver or stop as they can.

Glad to hear that you had no incident, wherever this was that you travelled, and that you were able to get 11 at 55.

Towing from St Augustine Florida to St George Island on I-10 at 65 mph we got 10 mpg. From St George island to Weeki Wachi FL on us98 and us19 at 55mph we got 11. mpg. Maybe we caught a tail wind.
