Checked on the TT yesterday. Dry and cold inside. Ice all over the awnings and rain gutters. Can't wait till warmer weather.

Enjoy it as we enjoy ours. The floor plan is the best and would rather have this than a 5er.

We are closing on our FLT27RLWS on Wednesday also! VERY excited!
We are upgrading from a 2008 Wildcat 5th wheel

Is there some type of extended warranty you can buy direct from Forest River?

There is a second year for $150. It has a time limit to get (like 10 days after purchase). Most dealers will say they know nothing about it because they want to sell a third party warranty. Do a search here on the forum. The forms are available to download.

So do most people just buy the extra year warranty and not the $2,000 extended warranty?? What about the $500 wheels and tires warranty?

One more question- Which cover do you use? We live in FL, so we need to keep it protected

We opted for the extra warrantee and didn't pick up the second year offered. I think it was around $90.00 when we bought ours. I would read the warrantee as I believe it's not as through as the first year warrantee. Besides most people camp the heck out of their TT the first year so all issues will be ironed out. Most of the little things I suggest you fix yourself. Most dealers don't have what you or I would call "skilled" workers.
The DW's favorite question to ask dealership employees, "So...what kind of camper do you have ". You know their answer. I don't have one. So...you don't have a camper and your a professional at fixing mine?

Okay enough with the snow. Six inches last night.

$150 for the second-year warranty is a no-brainer to me and has already paid itself off many times over for us.

Our flooring in the living room started bubbling up last fall on our last camping trip. It was replaced completely at a cost of $1,100 to Forrest River but cost us nothing, as we had the second-year warranty.

Our tongue jack just crapped out while in winter storage. Two of the teeth broke off of one of the gears. It is being replaced for free under the second-year warranty.

The additional warranty covers just about everything that is covered by the original factory warranty. Remember, this is a warranty sold by the manufacturer, not a third party.

Maybe it's different because we live in Indiana, but I have found the opposite to be true.

Many of the service techs at our dealership also own campers. I have talked to a lot of them about rigs.

The tech who did our PDI currently owns a Class A, but he previously owned two fivers.

The salespeople, however...
