Nice idea about electric heat...would definitely need electric upgrade or maybe 20amp socket installed to take advantage of those sites offering both receptacles ....

So I returned our trailer to the dealer to have the AC inspected. It's a Coleman mach3. They told me it was drawing too many amps and wasn't cooling at all. It will be replaced under warranty. I will need to take it out for a quick run to ensure its working as we will be in Carlsbad soon and it's over 100 there currently.

Has anyone noticed any cracks in your frames. I was under our 27RLWS today, and noticed that 3 of the braces that attach the floor to the frame have very small cracks forming at the bottom of where they are welded to the frame. We have 18,000 miles on the trailer, and have been up the ALCAN, so I suppose one would see something. I am going to have them welded to fix it. Let me know if anyone has seen this.

Has anyone traveled with full fresh water tank in this model? I am planning a 3 hour trip and need to fill tank here at home as no water avail at destination. I have read of structure support damage in other model Flagstaff's when doing this. Anybody have experience with this in 27rlws? Thanks.

Unless your traveling 3 hours in the wilderness I would stop close to where we were camping to take on water. That is a lot of weight to travel with.

I carry only one third of a tank to compensate for the light tongue weight.

Although we really don't boondock we only keep about 1 gallon in the black water holding tank to slosh around in there. I figure the less stress on the tanks the better off the TT would hold up. At 8 lbs per gallon that weight would add unnecessary stress.

Thanks for replying. There is a campground within 30 minutes so I guess that would be the conservative thing to do. Get water and then dump later for a fee. Would rather use home water but I'm sure your right about the stress on these things. I know on this Forum people have reported bent tank supports.

I would even pick up a few five gallon fresh water tanks for the bed of the pickup also. We transport a 150 gallon water tank to the races to fill our campers while inside the track. We stop at a local storage area a mile from track to fill it. He charges us a few bucks every year to fill it but it's worth it so we don't have to transport 1,200 lbs of water.
