Nice job on those quality installed water pipes. It looks like the Amish guy was off that day and the crackhead did the work on the water pipe.

I to had to bypass my Water Filter on my 27RLWS. Never could get it to stay on after dewinterizing. The filter housing has little teeth that grips the bottom half and if they get damaged the lease little bit it want stay on. I would have probably taken if off any way for more pressure. I took the one off my old Flagstaff and had more pressure.

Do y'all travel with the wardrobe loaded or unloaded? I was concerned about the over hung weight.

Another leak point is inside of the compartment where the PEX tubing is attached to the water inlet; when you tighten the fitting to the hose on the outside you can cause the fitting on the inside to turn and loosen, it then drips water that will run into the bedroom.

Thanks for that tip Danny. I'm guessing there are a few little things to keep an eye on here as there. It's good to know we are all sharing our fixes so we can head off a major flood. By the time we get this one completely overhauled it will b time for a new one (lol).

My filter housing has not leaked, but after reading about it, I wrapped it with duct tape to the housing so it can't unscrew on its own until I remove it completly

These trailers can be tongue light based on my weights on the scales so loading up front should not be an issue and will only improve towability.

Same here - no leaks so far and I intend to keep it installed and enjoy double or triple filtered water. That said I will make a point of checking on it periodically for tightness. Also, the housing type is such that there are several similar designs out there and one choice could be to change out the unit for one that is better designed and resistant to becoming undone.

Same to you ... campsite looks great! Wish I was camping but I prefer not to go out on holiday weekends due to the crowds. But that could change ... Trailer is still in the shop and hopefully should get out on Saturday. Already booked a small trip for weekend after next.

Wasn't really bad as far as the crowd for the reason you stated. Guess everyone stayed home or traveled to family.
As far as the water filter, after winterizing a few times I realized its in a spot that does not give reasonable access. When I removed it to dump the water out, I always spilled over onto a towel I had there. We don't drink the water and the water a this camp ground is good. I will look into a portable filter to attach to the hose. If the water filter had better access and clear of the multiple hoses, I would consider a better whole house filter type. But since it blew out on the second day of our outing, I cut it out and bypassed it.

Picked up my RV after a month at the dealership for warranty repairs to the radio and the oven.

Radio was fixed (new radio) but Suburban said that it was best to replace the manifold but ended up specifying the wrong "manifold" (which included the thermocouple that was diagnosed as bad by the technician). The dealership took pictures of the manifold that is required and will re-order the part on Monday. I had to pick up the RV since I have a trip coming up. When the part comes in and they are sure it is the right one I will drag the RV back to the dealership.

I was chatting with the parts guy and he confirmed that getting warranty work done on RVs is vastly different from that for cars as they have to work with the specific appliance / product's manufacturer to get authorizaton before they can order and replace the part. If they go ahead and get the part they know is right they could end up not getting paid, so they hav to go through this song and dance, and if the remote technician at the manufacturer is wrong then this nonsense can happen.

Moral of story - for a small part like this it could be better to pay for the darned repair yourself and forego the warranty, depending on the cost of course.

Wayne I totally agree. I find if it cost a few bucks to fix it myself I will go ahead and do it. Most issues we can fix like my recent water filter issue. I called the dealer and told them about it to which they said, "bring it in!" Well dragging the TT to the dealer would take a few hours plus fuel and MY TIME. My time is worth more to me and a small repair will be on me. Your oven issue could have cost a few dollars more than we would want to part I with so a trip to the dealer is a wise move. Pull the back of the sofa down and there should be 3 (three) screws on each side on the bottom of the sofa towards the back of the sofa. There should be some in the front too. Not sure how long they are as I haven't removed them. It's quite possible they were over tightened and the heads popped off. I have to remove my screws and slide the sofa about 1/4" as it hits the wall of the camper. Doesn't do it as bad since I removed the air bed. I had thought about taking the entire sofa off the slide and removing the silly looking front legs. Since they don't have a purpose, I thought the legs would look better in a drawer in my garage.

I have the same issue with the couch. When I attempted to stand up after sitting on the couch, it tipped forward until the front legs (which are about an inch above the floor) hit the floor. Clearly the couch is not properly screwed down to the slide. When I looked, there were only 2 wood screws on each side and they had all pulled through the wood and are useless. I will try to add more substancial hardware.

When you screw down the sofa again, make sure it's away from the side wall of the slide. Mine was too close on the right side and was scrapping the wallpaper on the slide wall. I only have three screws on each side on the back side. Not sure about the front yet. I removed the air mattress as it's just the DW and I and that fixed the scrapping. They used small diameter screws but a decent diameter should hold it quite well. Just be cautious of the cheap Chinese screws from Lowes or Homedepot. The heads break off real quick. I would use a good stainless steel wood screw to hold her down.

Does anyone know what fits the tv mount on the outside wall of the 27RLWS? I'm looking to buy a small tv for the outside and don't want to move the tv that's inside to tr outside.

I suspect you'll have to order it from FR. I was thinking of doing the same thing to but now that is summer I don't think I'll be sitting outside much watching TV. Probably do this in the last summer to fall.

Tats what I was thinking too. Looked for a few on line but ordering from FR sounds like a better idea. Even though it will be little warm I still would like to hang a small 22" to watch while cooking up breakfast lunch and dinner.

Just a note of caution. My husband hit a dip on a highway while pulling our 27 RLWS . The dip was big enough that it caused the rear of the trailer to pop up and it caused the tv to fall off the mount in the living room. We then secured it with heavy duty cable ties to keep it in place. It has been fine since. Highly recommend securing it! Thank goodness the tv was fine and didn't get damaged!

When towing, I stabilize my tv with a bed pillow under it and the 2 couch pillows above it; That takes all of the bouncing out of it, I just think that the tv will eventually pull the mouning off the wall if not 'helped'
