Everyone has their apples and/or oranges. Personally I prefer a little grease for less squeak which comes with a little less friction. I guess that could apply to A LOT of different things eh?

Chuck - I did check (but did not have ime to measure) the side-to-side level of the trailer and as far as I can eyeball it is level, despite a fridge full of food and the sofabed full of bedding and the counter extension stowed in it. On the other hand my under-dinette storage is full of stuff so that should restore some balance side-to-side. Pantry on the curb side was also full, so the trailer's centre of gravity is probably pretty close to the centreline.

I went by the dealer and measured one on the lot. 3 1/4" clearance. I spoke to Dexter and she believes they are failing so it looks like new axles will be on order.

Look what I managed to do today

Today when I was retracting the wardrobe slide I heard a horrible crunching noise -

Luckily it is just the door that is gone - no apparent damage to the fascia for the wardrobe. I just need to get a door and all will be good again. I am thinking that I won't reinstall the strut that keeps the door open. That way whenever I need access to the cupboard I will have to consciously hold it up with one hand as will naturally want to fall into the closed position. No chance of shearing it off again.

Ouch Wayne. Did you accidentally leave the cabinet open or did it open on its own?

May the lessons of a few be the lessons of our own without the pain of actually going through it.

Good to hear that but sorry to hear that the axles are bad. Where will all of this end.

On my side, the radio was replaced under warranty but they (dealer) managed to break the bezel so they ordered one for me and I will pick it up tomorrow. As for the oven not staying on problem - after they changed the manifold and that did not cure it, the dealer says that they are talking to Suburban about replacing the entire stove-oven unit.

On a great note - we again passed through some heavy sustained rain and there were no leaks in the trailer. There was a couple of spots where there were constant drips outside, at the joint between the side of the trailer and the awning - a foot ahead of the forward outside speaker. No where else along the awning did it leak except there. I will have to go up and have a look at what can be done.

That said, this trailer was a great place to wait out a 5 hour Texas thunderstorm. I just wanted to jump back into bed and sleep to all that rice rain banging on the roof.

Oh no, the fault was entirely mine. That cupboard is where I keep my CPAP bag so after I pulled out the bag I left it open and then forgot it.

My awning wall leaks in the same place. Was told there is a seam up there that may have to be sealed. Someone said it was pretty common. As they say "it happens". I can't get all upset about it but it does keep my mind off of everything.

Good tip Danny, although there is less chance of that happening (knock on wood) since the puttng away routine is much more involved and is done by my wife and she is pretty good about checking before pulling in the slides.

I guess I need to make a check list and follow it to the letter. My pilot days will help conjure a decent check list. I followed them to the letter and I can follow a TT checklist.

That is actually good to hear and sort of what I expected. I don't believe that it flexes a lot so the fix should not be hard. Will probably seal the whole length of the awning seam and be done with it forever.

The aluminum gutter rail is spliced right before the speaker, I put a drop of silicon on it and quit leaking there

It's amazing how stuff we have to do. But...I still have a ton of fixes to do in the house. So, it's about the same I guess. Only difference is my house doesn't roll down the hill every now and then. Lol

I had the same kind of leak past the awning mounting rail on my Coleman pup. It probably just needs a bead of caulk along the top of that mounting rail. I found that with the pup I was stretching the awning too tight and when I loosened it off a bit the leak stopped. I don't know if that's possible with an electric awning.

Clean inside the Gutter at the connection, dont use caulking or silicone as this will (Build a Dam) in the area. Wrap a piece of (Eternabond) around a wood pencil and lay in the gutter, allowing (2in) beyond the seam on both sides. Measure how much it will take to go up both sides and across the bottom, and roll this up on the pencil! The (Eternabond) only gets applied to the (Inside) of the gutter! Youroo!!

Sounds like a good tip. Thank you.

Speaking of Water!!!

Well we just completed our first long trip with the new trailer, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate...meaning one super nice day and 4 days of driving rain....including the 2 eight hour pulls. And when I say rain, I'm talking Biblical.

After each pull, I found water on the floor in front of the range which is getting the carpet wet. If I lift the carpet up the upper side of the floor of the slide seems to be dry. I think its being thrown up into that corner by the leading tire on the drivers side, and seems to be migrating through and around the corner heading to the rear of the trailer. I haven't had a chance to pull the slide in, and look for a possible entrance.

Anybody else run into something like this?

Also, it was my first run with the Equalizer 4 pt. Best $500 I ever spent. Trailer felt totally different. I lubricated mine (it did come with grease on those surfaces from the factory) so I've been refreshing it before each pull. I really haven't noticed any noise at all. My old Draw-Tite made more noise at low speeds.

Harv I hadn't noticed anything like that in mine but I can honestly say we haven't driven through biblical rain showers. We have had some while camping but have been lucky while traveling. Take pictures when you locate the issue.
