We took ours out of winter storage today.

We store it in the barn of a farmer about an hour away in southern Indiana. I would have liked to wait a few weeks to pick it up when the weather is better, but we are camping Easter weekend, and need to get some work done before then.

As you can see, there is a spare tire on it. The original tire took a sharp rock and went flat while pulling it into the barn in late November. I am going to replace all five tires with new Maxxis tires. The tongue jack is also getting replaced under warranty, as two of the teeth on one of the gears broke off.

This is why I will always have a four-wheel-drive truck. I would rather not wait a few weeks for the snow to melt or pay someone to haul it to the dealer for me. What you are seeing was the easy part. Those tracks are from me pulling it out of the barn and getting it turned around. I had to drive it through eight inches of snow after that picture was taken to get it to the plowed road.

I need to replace my tires on a 2703ws (same as a 27rlws). Has any one gone up to a 215 75 14. I like the idea that these have a weight rating of 2200 lbs.

Correction to my last post. I would order the tires only and use the aluminum wheels that came with the emerald package.

Taskmaster is still Chinese, and larger diameter than the 205s; On mine they wouldn't clear. A better solution is either Kumho 857s or Hankook RE08s, their size 195r14 is the same size as originals but are a true load range D 8 ply tire not made in China; Love my Hankooks and absolutely no problems with them. They are also rated to 99 mph and have a capacity of 2,094# each

I will be changing the tires out this summer before we head over the mountains. Looking at the Hankook RE08's for the heavier weight support and the class D rating.

UH OH! Getting ready for our first camping trip and the living room slide out isn't working! Hubby got it out manually, but power isn't working...it pays to search the thread I found the answer! I LOVE THIS GROUP!
Fuse on trailer was blown http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...s-52499-2.html .
Now he is wondering WHY that happened?

Well all I can say is that it does. I have blown the fuse on the kitchen and wardrobe slide when we first got it. I replaced the fuse and have never had another issue (so far). Perhaps it's the placement of the fuses. Ours, and perhaps yours, is under the "A Frame" close to the battery. I could think of numerous places rather than that. Keep a good stock of 30 amp fuses on hand.

Are there fuses other than those in the fuse panel box?

Yes, as stated above, the fuses for the slide outs and my stabilezes, and tonge jack are outside, near battery, on the tonge before the wires all enter the camper.

The wardrobe slide fuse is by the water filter/heater in the front panel outside under the slide itself. I removed the water filter (read previous posts) and use an outside filter only. It was a cheap housing that failed.

When I picked up our new trailer I asked the service tech about spare fuses during the PDI and he threw in about a dozen spares. Always pays to ask.

Oh it does. They are not cheap. You can buy them at any auto parts store, Lowes and Home Depot. Definitely ask for back up fuses and if they toss them in, great. Ask for roof vent covers and the bug screens for the water heater and heater. My dealer through them in because I bitched at them about failing to properly prepare for our walk through. It's costs them close to nothing so ask or better yet, demand they put them on.

Well we are 5 days into our FIRST trip.
Been to TN and SC. LOTS of rain.
Just noticed today that the narrow closet to the right of bed was slightly damp inside. Not the Carpet . Just the side. UH OH! Also noticed the cabinets above the bed slightly damp.
Looks like it will be going to the shop when we get back.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Also noticed the sofa only had 1 of 4 bolts tightened (common problem reading through this thread)
And the cabinet above tv keeps opening up while traveling.

BIL thinks moisture was just condensation. I hope so!

Does anyone full time with this unit. I know a class A would probably be the better route, but not ready to drop the $100k.

When the wardrobe slide is closed, get up on the bed and look all around the seals on top of the slide for sunlight (this done preferably in a bright sunny day). Areas where you can see daylight through the seals are the issue. Do the same with the dinette and kitchen slide. Check your water filter.

We just finished our second big trip in our Flagstaff 27RLWS. We started last fall, were gone for five months, and traveled thru 13 states, ending up in Arizona. Total miles were 8330 and our Suburban averaged 10.8 MPG . The only problem was the black water handle was broken by a rock, luckily, it was empty, and there was an RV parts place in Wickenburg, AZ. We are still running on the original Westlake tires. I have a TPMS, and check inflation and run the tires 5 psi above the normal pressure. We have almost 18,00 miles on the tires and they still are looking good, wear wise.
Will probably change them before the next big trip.

We had a lot of rain in Phoenix for a week, and found that we had condensation issues in the wardrobe slide. We had to crack the bathroom fan to let the moisture out. We actually had drops of water running down the outside wall of the closet. We hadn't had a door or windows open for a while.
