27RLWS

We are looking to buy a Flagstaff 27RWLS which is 31'11" long and 6338 dry weight. I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 thy can pull 8600 lbs. does anyone know if this TV will tow this TT without any issues?

I just got one and only towed it once 175 miles from the dealer with no problem. I have a 2010 Ford f150 crew cab. I did upgrade to the Equalizer 4 point sway control because of the length.

It's doable, I towed mine with a 1500 Sliverado xcab a few times before I ran across a Silverado 1500HD (same as plain 2500) world of difference, instead of 'white knuckles' I now can tow with 1 finger and don't worry about getting passed by 18 wheelers.

I could tell when the 18 wheelers went by and was a little nerves but it was the first time I towed one that long.

27dlws

Thanks folks. Basic dry weight isn't all that bad nor the length. The Dodge Ram is a healthy truck but did to want to push the limits.

I bought mine in Atlanta some 800 miles away last August and towed just fine with the truck in my sig., which is the only truck I have. I have since gone out with it 3 more times, typically 3+ hours away on Interstates, etc. As weighed by trailer is 7000#.

You need to watch your tongue weight and use a good WDH. Make sure that your truck's tires are up to the job in terms of load capacity and air pressure. Big 18 wheelers are not a problem. Also drove through driving rain just before Thanksgiving and it towed beautifully.

The dealer is giving us the tow package, hitch and tow bars, but I want to make sure they are the best for what we are towing. Any ideas as to what the best would be?
