2nd year warranty question.

Hi all, before I try to get in contact with Forest River (Flagstaff) I thought I'd ask here to see if any of you fellow Flagstaff owners had bought the extra year for $150. I did send them a check and they did cash it but I've not heard one word back from them. I bought the 8528ikws diamond edition in October 2014 and sent the check out within a couple weeks of purchase. I sent an email in January but received no response. Maybe I sent it to the wrong person.

I was just wondering what your experiences with the extra year warranty as far as acknowledgement of purchase were.
Any ideas as to who to contact directly?

Sent mine in last week. They told me to expect 4-6 weeks for a response. You've should've heard something by now. Somewhere I saw a list of contacts for each product line. I called my guy from that list. He emailed me the form; my dealer had not included it in my packet.

I sent mine in 11/18/2014. They sent me back my application paper back 2 weeks later with their signature on it.

Right, that is all you get for confirmation is your original application with their signature on it. No other form.

Some dealers will not tell you about it, so before you sign tell them you want it added in. They will try and sell you a third party. GET the 2 year worth every penny trust me. Flat rate $150.00

Most absolutely don't tell you about it. My salesman was a really great person. He advised me quietly that he thought the business manager removed the extra year warranty papers from the packet in the RVs. He told me that he thought that they then would try to push their version of extended warranty at closing. They did and I didn't bite. I smiled and said I would purchase the 2nd year warranty for $150, that by the way, you neglected to tell me about. Oh and is the form in the RV?? He "didn't know".

My dealer also didn't tell me about it and tried to push their warranty. I downloaded the form online from Forest River's Website.

I am still waiting on mine. The original app was returned to the dealer, instead of me, because the dealer had not registered the TT to me when the app arrived at FR. But by staying in touch with Forest River I've been promised I will get one. I resubmitted a new app and a new check a week ago.

Do what ever is necessary to get it. It is money well spent. My second year warranty paid for 2 new axles AND a new roof.

This is available for most forest river brands but a few are excluded. here is the second year warranty info and application for those interested. There are different prices for different brands. You are supposed to mail within 10 days of purchase but I have seen them extend that for owners before. It doesn't hurt to try.

It's available for all original FR brand towables.
not available on recent brands acquired by FR: Coachmen, Prime Time, Shasta, Viking, Dynamax.

Same here, application came back with a signature and stamped "Paid".

I sent mine in way beyond the end date to apply for it and they honored it.
