I have not done so yet, I have the new tv but need to get the wall mount for it.
Will go from a 20 inch Magnavox to a 32 inch RCA.

I replaced the 32 inch Toshiba that came with our Windjammer with a 37 inch Visio. The opening was 34 inch wide and the new TV was 33.1 inches wide so it fits in just right. The Visio TV has a narrower frame around the screen allowing for a larger screen size.

I replaced my 20 inch with a 32 inch Samsung. Replaced the mount with one from Walmart, using the same holes. Perfect match.

I have been looking for 37" TV's and they seem to have gone the way of the DODO bird around here.

I've spent a couple weeks on this project...found a 37 inch that was 33.1 inch wide but the height seemed to be too much so couldn't make it ..tied a couple different mounts... guess I'll just install the 32 inch..can you show s picture of the one you bought at Walmart Ed?
