I only have experience with the Reese weight distributing hitch, first with a small TT and Ford Explorer Sport Trak. Worked great. Niw we are "glamping" in a 2013 27RLWS with an even larger Reese hitch pulled with a 2013 Fird F250 Super Duty Crew cab. You hardly know the TT is even there. I have only recently seen two negative comments on the Anderson, but I suspect either are fine IF the right sized system is installed correctly.

We have the Equil-izer 1200/12000 and no issues at all. Makes a little noise due to the steel on steel but it's a great hitch.

I have two separate switches. The step light is the bottom center switch. The "orange" light outsude the door that we have on at night is the totally separate and unmarked switch located above the control panel.Click image for larger version
