831rkss outdoor stove

i am wondering of there any other 831rkss owners out there that have re routed the gas line from the outdoor stove through the traler so it does not have to be disconnected? it is a bit annoying to have to do it in the rain or every time you leave the site... to keep the beer safe

Why would you leave It connected?

as you may know, in order to swing the stove into the trailer in order to close the big door... the hose is in a awkward spot beneath the trailer not to mention the hose is just the right length making it even more difficult.
if it starts to rain you have to be on your knees in order to get at it and use both hands to disconnect. i generally leave it open if we go for a walk but if i am camping next to a bunch of students i would likely close it to keep my barley collection safe!

the disconnect has a valve on it that i can turn off the propane right on it, i figured this would be a great way to fix my situation.

I am unsure of your plumbing skills, but if you fill comfy running through RV I guess you could. You do have a CO? monitor(can't remember name) that should help in case of a leak. It's best to avoid that type of line in the RV for safety issues.

i guess there are not oo many of out there with this trailer?

i think it would be a matter of ordering a slightly longer hose, say 2' longer and drilling 2 1" holes, one under the area under the stove swings into and one into the undercarage cover. i think then the best thing would be to install a 1" pvc pipe connecting the 2 holes so the hose can be protected and if there is a propane leak it has a place to escape.

Yes the PVC pipe is a good idea. Unsure where you plan on putting the line. But if it's outside then have the bottom open. Propane is heavier then air therefore you want to leave bottoms up so the gases can escape.

Sorry I could not be of more help
