Are you meaning that it is running constantly, but not cooling the RV? What kind of A/C do you have?

Running constantly. Oops just noticed that my optional equipment says I have a 15,000 BTU/AC. NOT SURE WHAT KIND. TAKES FOREVER TO COOL

If it's cooling but taking a long time, it sounds like either a freeze up issue or low refridgerant. Try manually turning off the A/C for a half hour or so then restarting. Reduce your fan speed to low if it's on high or auto. If it begins working better, it's freezing up.

Depending on where you are camping, if it is very humid, you should open the dump valve (vent directly on AC) and run the AC for a while to cool the RV and remove humidity. Once it is cooler, you can close it. This will keep the air flow high and reduce the chance of icing up.

look inside your return air. make sure it's sealed up. Mine wasn't sealed and the cool air was being sucked back in the A/C return. use the silver A/C tape tp seal any place the air might be leaking and do this on both sides.

might want to consider doing a couple of upgrades. With 1 13.5K unit on a 30ft RV it will be a challenge if it's hot and you are cooking, always in the sun, kids going in and out... etc. There is also a group of Dometic units that have defective coils... supposedly corrected in summer of 17'... if it was made a bit before that beware.

here are a couple links to stuff that will help

There have been reports also of the freeze sensor dislodging or never being installed correctly allowing the unit to freeze up and emit poor cooling.
