Adjusting Suburban stove top cover

My Suburban stove has a glass cover that is raised up when cooking.
When putting back down (after cooking), it does not sit center with stove.
It is raised up 1/8 inch on right corner. Left corner sits down on to stove. The left side sits right against stove gap, where the right side is about 1/4 inch from gap. As if cover needs to be moved more to right to center on stove.
Can this be adjusted by loosening plastic nuts and moving the cover or how is it adjusted so that it fits on all corners and sides properly? The hinges don't seem to sit down correctly when the cover is down. I tried taking pictures but they did not show the problem. Or do I need new hinges or bend them.

stove cover

I had a similar issue with our cover. it turned out the hinges were installed upside down or backwards (don't remember). took a picture, removed the hinges (they were kind of mangled from trying to get it to fold correctly and went to the dealer. showed them the picture and compared it to a unit in their yard. they gave me new hinges and hardware. I installed them correctly myself and haven't had a problem since.

I am not sure but maybe my stove cover is not installed correctly.
Should the open end (front) of cover fold over the top and behind the rear section of cover or fold in front of the rear of cover? Some of the pictures that I have seen it appears that the front of cover folds over the top and behind the rear section.
On mine, the front of cover folds to the front and not the rear.

Ours folds like yours.

You basically lift the cover up by the front trim with one hand (which begins to lift the entire top-both halves) then take your other hand and lift up in the middle, folding the front half in front of the back half and push backwards into its folded position.

EDIT:
As a side note... we were told and I've seen it posted here, where knives could be stored in the slots at the rear of the cover.(oven vents) The way our cover folds, if you have knives in the slots, the cover won't fold back.

This morning I went to dealer to check on other stove covers on other trailers. It should fold with the front of cover folding to the back. Not to front like mine.
I left cover with dealer. The tech said it looked as hinges were not correct or bent.
I left the cover with them.

I forgot to add. The trailer that I looked at had a diagram on how to left and fold stove cover. It said that front of cover should be folded to the back. When front folded correctly to back, more room for pans. The way my cover works (not correct), barely enough room on back burners for pans. Small soup pans would work, but not a frying pan.

I have a similar issue with mine... as you I tried to adjust with no avail. Mine hits one side on the counter top(granite type material) maybe 1/16th or 1/8th at the most out of alignment. I will look to reverse the hinge and take some pictures tonight. I am scared the "next" haul will shatter the glass.

I took a few pics... I am not sure if I can adjust enough. I think the stove is out of square or the counter top is...nahhhh. That would never happen.

The funky looking stuff isn't grease...the stove hasn't been used. I guess it's glue.

I went out and flipped the hinges on ours last evening.
While I didn't realize anything wrong, it works so much better!
Must have been a bad day on the glass stove top assembly line!

Iv'e got the same glass stovetop cover & it's not "if", it's "how soon" before it shatters. Anyone aware of a replacement cover like the older metal styles that are made for the Suburban stove?

Dealer replaced the hinges. Works great. Cost was $1.50 for new hinges.

Great!
Thanks for posting back.
It helps others when they search.
