Antenna Issue

I have a small issue on my 2013 Micro-Lite 23LB. I first noticed this last summer and was reminded of it over a camping trip last weekend. The TV antenna is mounted very close to the radio antenna. When the TV antenna is raised and turned for better reception, it hits the radio antenna. It's not a big deal as most of you know the radio antenna has a spring mount. It will give, most of the time, when it comes in contact with the TV antenna, but sometimes the TV antenna will catch and hang-up on the small tip on the radio antenna. I know I can loosen the radio antenna ball mount and lower it backwards, but I do listen to a few FM stations and with it lowered some don't come in. I just can't figure such sloppy engineering that would be obvious to the average middle school student. I'm wondering, for curiosity sake, if anyone else has (or ever had) this issue with their Flagstaff RV. Here are a few pictures:

this "feature" was also carried over to my brand new 2015. guess they didn't get enough complaints to warrant a change.

Can you just cut (shorten) the radio antenna whip so it clears?

Cut off 6" of antenna. it doesn't matter on FM, AM reception might suffer.

I appreciate the responses, but I've already thought of cutting off about four inches on the radio antenna. But before I do I wanted to get a few photos to show my salesman the next time I visit the dealership. I was also wondering if this problem was unique to my RV or was common on Flagstaffs or other RVs.

2 pr of pliers and bend it to an "L". Over and then back up or at the base bend on 45 and then up.

Just pick up a Motorola to F cable, (http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-To-Co.../dp/B00GYLBU4O) and connect it to the coax coming from the TV antenna. Plug into the back of the radio.

Now you can lose the radio antenna on the roof and you'll be using the TV antenna instead. As a bonus, you can rotate the antenna to point at the stations you want and get better reception.

I had the exact problem on my Flagstaff 29RLSS. The radio antenna caught within the antenna blade cutout and I could not turn the antenna to dislodge the radio antenna. The TV antenna would not lower and I had to climb up on the roof and separate the two antennas. You, of course, can lower the radio antenna to avoid conflict. I decided to remove the radio antenna, and use an 18", black colored "rubber ducky" antenna. Amazon.com sells them. May/may not reduce the radio reception! Problem solved!

Best solution is scrap the batwing and replace it with a Jack's.

I just tied mine down to the side of the refrigerator vent. While technically it doesn't decrease it's pickup ability, it does make it directional.
From what I remember seeing last time I was up there, the FM could be relocated to the top of the batwing mount.
