I believe the spring on my Troy-Bilt is thicker than 1",,, it is different because the hooks each go a different direction !!!

If it is only 6" x 1/2" then its probably not from a trampoline. I coach gymnastics and tramp springs are usually about 12" x 1", much bigger than what you describe. And I agree with the others, that spring looks brand new - anyone around there have any new stuff that it could have come from?

Thanks for poking folks. I looked thru the fence & gave up on the trampoline. The lawn guy gave me a funny look, so it went into the recycling bin this weekend.

Now to do some more camping...
