Average time??
As an overly-excited newb I am getting pretty anxious about taking delivery of our new V-Lite. I guess my question is; how long did it take for YOUR TT to get built? I was told 6-8 weeks, not that I want them to rush, I’m just curious and trying to plan. Thanks for any input.

We ordered our Sabre the first week of November two years ago. We had it in our hands 2 days before Christmas. What a nice Christmas present!

To answer your first Q. they build several units per day! The time span is paperwork and shipping! Use your Wait Time working at a Second Job to help pay for all the Stuff for your new camper! Welcome to the FRF! Youroo!!

X eleventy!
Think about when you first got married, and all the stuff you needed for your new/first home.
Seriously, it's the same.
You need everything for that awesome V-Lite (we have one!) that you need in your home...linens, dishes, bathroom supplies (we use sample size shampoos, deodorant, etc.), cleaning supplies, etc.
I know we spent well over $500.00 just "supplying" our V-Lite. And doesn't even count the zero gravity outdoor chairs, our grill (we have never used the one that comes with your V-Lite), lego blocks, chocks, a better stinky slinky, our Winegard satellite dish (that was $700.00 alone), the honey wagon, etc.
It really *is* like having a "summer home".

Statements have been more true. we have spent $2491 since June on supplying our MH. doesn't take long to spend it, but I think we have everything we'll need now.
Good luck on your new purchase, please enjoy it.

Thanks for all the input. I have another question. Cords, hoses, fittings, all the stuff that comes with the trailer, is it junk? Should I start buying upgraded items like this.

They are OK, but you will need water hose, etc. that do not come with it. I have bought locking wheel chocks, additional leveling jacks for support(not to level, just to cut down on bounce as this is a lite construction and will have more give to floor), plus everything needed for towing a long TT.
Enjoy!

Mine came with one of those el-cheapo blue waste hoses and the pickup tube for anti freeze, almost everything else was bought at Walmart or the dealers parts dept.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve got the BAL-X chocks, PI EMS, Coupler lock, Adjustable Water Pressure Regulator, and a Husky WDH with sway is part of the sale. On order is, Rhino Sewer Hose Kit, Inclined Sewer Hose Support, a bag of those plastic leveling chocks (we’ll see how those work), and I will pick up a couple lengths of fresh water hose also. I’ll go to my local pick and pull and see what they have for old car jacks for additional support. Thanks and keep the suggestions coming! I’m new to this...

Rhino sewer hose and Lynx chocks are VERY nice! Most things you can find at a good walmart or amazon! As for dishes, pots pans etc try a thrift shop. You will definitely need a crock pot and electric skillet for cooking.

Like someone said usually it's not the build time which is only 2-3 days it is the paper work VIN number and ship. Normally once dealer gets stock or VIN number they can give you pretty good time of of the line and estimate delivery.

Thanks! Stocking the TT won’t be an issue as we have plenty of stuff in the house we can use, including an extra crock pot.

I figured they could build it pretty quick, I just want a VIN to finalize my loan...

Mine took 4 weeks, including delivery time.
It is easy to fall into the "gadget trap" with these things. There are some things that are given, such as the sewer hose and water supply.
I moved from one TT to a new TT, and yet, very little made the transition, for some reason. In fact, the only item that moved from one camper to the other was the hitch! Of course, all the interior stuff moved over, except for one item. We had a Black & Decker space saver coffee maker (from the 80's) it worked great, but we decided to leave it and get a new one. Have you priced new space saver coffee makers lately? Wow! They are out of sight!
Levelling blocks come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, colors, and prices. As does everything else you can buy for these things.
Good luck, and enjoy!

So how 'bout an update Early Retirement? Do you have an updated expected delivery date?

Purchase ordered for a 8289WS went out on 09/19/13 and a check for the deposit was sent via fed-x on 09/20. We were told the RV should ship from the factory on 12/10, we hope to have it by Christmas.
