I wanted to see if anyone has a furion camera kit that would be interested in trading it for the solar panel. We don't dry camp and really won't use the solar panel.

I purchased one with my new windjammer and am very disappointed. It has a poor wireless connection most of the time and is black screen station no connection, the frame rate about one a second when it does connect. Not great video quality. I like the small monitor size but wanted to add a side camera but the camera orientation setting on the monitor only does 180 and mirror and not 90.

I see that a lot of members are saying that the quality of the system is not very good. You would hope that they would upgrade the camera system and its wireless capabilities so that it would perform better.

I found, through the forums, that the Furrion unit had a mixed bag of reviews and it seems that a lot of complaints about signal quality were the main issue. After seeing one in action on a friends TT I opted to NOT purchase it and we went with the RVS-CW-CAM from rearviewsafety.com. The unit is 299.00 in price but it functions very well on my 31 ft TT. Thats my $.02.

There are two Furrion models. The std Forest River Backup Camera Model '12' has plenty of bad reviews. The available from Furrion as a direct purchase or swap out of the Model '12' is the much, much better Model '48' Observation camera. Both models look almost identical and use the exact same Forest River pre-wired mounting base. To swap out or install into that base that comes pre-installed at the back of your Forest River RV, TT or 5er is a simple matter of removing 4 easily accessible screws, unpluguing the electrical connector and then reversing that process with the uograded '48'. Furrion will cross ship to make it easy as possible. You will have a great camera and no need to remove and reseal where the bracket was. The '48' is wireless and its range is significantly greater than the '12'.

Recently purchased Rear View Safety RVS-83112 wireless system with magnetic mount. Will try out this weekend. So far , initial observations look favorable as far as range and absence of bluetooth interference. Previously tried out the i-Ball system which was not very good since you can't disable bluetooth on GM vehicles

RVS-83112 system worked quite well. Magnetic mount camera was quite versatile. Definitely would reccommend as a backup aid

Just purchased a Surveyor 265rlds , backup camera prep only. What do we need to buy to make use of the prep only option?

back up camera

don't bother with the camera. we have the 5th wheel surveyor that came with the camera and it is completely useless. it only points straight down shows the bumper and about one foot out from the bumper and will not adjust out to be usable
