Battery Disconnect Switch
2013 Forrest River Flagstaff 831FLSS
Does someone know what the 12 volt disconnect disconnects? It is a push / pull knob above the control panel. I find some things that it disconnects but some things still have power. It appears that the front jack, slide outs still have power. Is this correct?

I'd imagine anything between the battery and the disconnect still has power. I wish they would install these a little closer to the battery.
I'll move this thread to Flagstaff for better coverage.

Thanks! I am new, dumb, and stupid with regard to forums. RVing for 30 years. Have not had any experience with this type disconnect. Remember the old manual disconnect that 80's Airstreams had and I used. It shut down everything except jack in front.

I have a 2010 Flagstaff 27BHSS and would like to install a battery disconnect switch. It would be great not to have to fumble with the bottery box, strap, and terminals every time. Is there an aftermarket product out there that anyone would recommend?

Do a search here on frf there's plenty of articles.
Search battery disconnect you'll find tons of reading material!

I went with the Marinco, since I do not plan on installing an inverter. Slightly less amperage rating. I didn't check Amazon for the Blue Sea (shame on me).

I have a 2005 Cherokee so I plan on mounting next to the battery box on the tongue. Just have to fabricate a mount for it. Not worried about it getting wet as it is made for a boat application.

I mounted mine inside a storage compartment. I wanted it for two reasons. The first of course to disconnect everything to prevent battery drain. The second was because I have an electric tongue jack and was afraid someone curious might come along and damage the jack by powering it past one of the extremes.

I placed mine "hidden" under the propane tanks. This pic shows it only because the propane cover was off. Its not possible to see without purposely looking for it.
