Bed came loose from wall & dropped
We pull a 2011 V-Lite. Fairly satisfied on the whole. Last road trip we noticed that the bed frame, attached apparently by screws to the outside wall over the storage bin, came loose, screws pulled out and gouged the wall as the frame dropped 3-4 inches. Now what do we do? Any help greatly appreciated, as we're off on another month-long, 2,000 mile road trip end of March. Cheers, all!

Not having a picture to look at my suggestion will be shooting in the dark. With the said first repair the hole by glueing in wooden dowel (toothpicks) drill new pilot hole and or go to larger screws. Mark the stud locations on the wall and rase the bed frame to the original position install original screws (or replacements) and add additional screws along the bed frame at the studs for added security. let the forum know how you correct the problem good luck

I had the same thing happen. Here is how I fixed it.

Had that happen with the murphy bed. The frame was screwed to studs that were not adequate size to hold it. Fortunately the bed sat between two outside compartments. I attached 3/4 inch plywood to the inside walls of those compartments and screwed the frame of the bed through the wall and into the plywood. Problem solved. Very secure with no further issues. Did add some weight to the camper.

At least now it should be easier to 'climb' into bed.

We have a Rockwood 2608ws and on our cross country trip last year our bed did the same thing. What we did was get a piece of 2x2 and cut it to length and used L brackets and attached to frame and screwed to wood trim inside storage area in four locations long bed frame. Now the bed is secure much better than four little screws in the back wall.

Quite a few years back, me and the DW went on a soiree to see Egypt (among other places). We saw many things and did many things there, including the boat trip down the Nile to see the various temples, all the way to Abu Simbel. The relevant thing about the trip was....
After boarding a little early, we were shown to our stateroom/cabin where staff were still fussing with 'stuff' including making the bed. After dinner, at bed time, we needed to call the front desk and request they come and remake the bed. Why... it was in pieces on the floor. The thing literally broke up around us when we lay down. We were shown to another room.

Our queen bed in the slide also came loose but it happened just before the Goshen Rally so they fixed it there. I have not looked to see what they did. When we are back in the USA I will look and see. If it is anything other than putting new screws in, I will take some pics and post.

Thank you fellow FROGs! (DW thinks that's hilarious; I tell her I've heard another ribbet RE: the bed). Will be implementing the repair this weekend! Blessings to all!

Bed dropped...
Unfortunately our bed frame is built from the floor up, so it appears the whole floor dropped. Can't tell how and can't get in to the dealer/repair shop before our trip begins next week. From the outside it doesn't look like anything is amiss - a bit concerned! Thanks for asking!

Not sure if your bed is in a slide but on our WJ it is. I just checked and the way ours was fixed at the Goshen Rally was by putting new screws in. Originally it was only held in place by 3 screws through the aluminum frame into the wall. They put 4 new screws along that piece of aluminum, so added one more screw. And they also added 4 screws to the sides, 2 on each side.
The first pic shows where the original (and new) screws are. The pic is not so great but there is an empty screw hole where one of the originals were and 2 new screws. The 2nd pic shows where they add 2 new screws, (black screws), where there originally where no screws.
