Black tank

Just purchased a 2014 flagstaff with a black tank flush on the outside. Did you need to put a pressure regulator on or can you hook up to city water pressure?

I guess you should, but I have never did it. I aways just hook it up direct for atleast 75 flushes and no problem yet....but I do use one on the the city water inlet all the time... I guess I should also add that is a direct line made out of the samething your hose is made out of.

Most RV Parks are lower pressure than what the city supplies to your house (If you have one/or visiting someone). I've never seen a pressure reducer installed at any flush stations. I have never used one at the flush station.

The black tank rinser is just a pipe with a spray at the end and doesn't really need to hold pressure so there's no need to put a pressure regulator on it. Less pressure would make it less useful anyway.

Totally agree. In this case more is better.

While it's probably not a bad idea to put it behind the regulator, I like having full pressure to my black tank flush.

Me too. No pressure reducer when back flushing.

I was told by our dealer to use the regulator when flushing out black tank. Not sure if it matters.
