Blocks for stabilizers and landing gears?

I agree that placing blocks under stabilizer jacks is a good idea. However I did see a fellow in Arizona put blocking under his landing gear that was about a foot high and when he went to hookup he pushed his trailer off the blocking and smashed the bed of his truck That being said, be sure your trailer tires are well blocked.

problem with this design is it stabilizes side to side motion but does not stabilize in a front to rear movement. this style jack should be mounted at a fourty five in each corner.

I have two milk crates designed to hold six gallon jugs of milk. They're great!

Was not designed for stopping front to back, but by installing a JT Strongarms type strut, the front to back motion is just about eliminated. Also, by using Bali X Chocks or something similar it will stop the front to back also. I have yet to see any stabilizers that by themselves eliminate front/back/side to side movement.

We use leveling blocks under each of our 6 hydraulic jacks on our 2016 Cardinal 3250 Fifth-Wheel. Depending on the contour of the camp site, we may use up to 6 leveling blocks under one or more jacks. We find that the rig is more stable by shortening the distance each hydraulic jack has to extend to achieve level. We also use the "scissors-type" wheel blocks between the tires on each side of the trailer rather than wedge-type chocks on each tire. So far, so great!!
