Build and Delivery Times
I ordered a MicroLite in February. It's been built. Now the dealer is telling me it may take up to 4 weeks to deliver from Indiana to Minnesota. Oh, it was ordered as a rush. FOUR WEEKS? Is this normal? I had a Starcraft built in 2014 and had it two days later.

We bought a Flagstaff 27BHWS back in January from and Indiana dealer. 8 weeks later around the middle of March we were told it would come off the line on the 21st... we're still waiting for someone to tell us when it arrives at the dealer.
I thought they were built in Indiana... so not sure where the delay is, but hopefully it is a matter of days at this point.
Good luck! Amazon Prime and two day shipping on everything has ruined my ability to be patient

My unit took about 7 days to be delivered an hour and a 1/2. I have been told that each dealer has a contracted service that is responsible for delivery that the factory is not? dont know if that is true?

One thing we learned during our plant tour last week was that there is an extreme shortage of delivery drivers. These plants, including all manufacturers, have ACRES of completed units waiting to be shipped.
If anybody wants a part time ,or full time, job, go to Elkhart or Middlebury. Bring your truck.

Yep, everyone wants to blame the manufacturer, especially the dealers.
But the issue is lack of delivery drivers.
As far as I know, it's the dealer's responsibility to arrange for pickup and delivery.

IMaki I feel your pain. Ordered ours Feb 24 and told it would only be 4-6 weeks. Guess what now it ain't even being built until the first week of May. Apparently Surveyors aren't built consistently. Would have been nice to know this prior, might have changed our mind and waited till the fall.

No brand is built consistently. They gather up orders and when they have enough they build them all at the same time. It is hit or miss where you fall with the timing.

This will be our 4th camper in six years and usually what ever the dealer quotes as the build time it has always been pretty close. Obviously this is way off lol Patience is not one of my virtues. I was told RPods are being built now and it takes them a month to turn the plant over to build surveyors.

We ordered ours near the factory, so when it came off the line they sent an employee to pick it up, and got it hot off the line, besides saveing about 5k for delivery.

Got word our unit is arriving tomorrow. The dealer wanted to delay pick up citing they were booked out a week for orientations. I got a hold of a manager to correct that. I don't need a 2 hr orientation. This will be my 5th new camper in 9 years! Hello?

Yes, you DO need a 2 hr "orientation" or however long it will take you to make sure everything operates properly and there are no flaws that need repair. You want anything fixed before you hand over your $$.

I'll look it over carefully. I have never had an issue with warranty repair, cosmetic or otherwise. We are camping on Friday, so we'll check it over and bring it back if needed.

Well no news in this situation is not good news. Heard today our Surveyor won't even be produced until second week in May possibly third. Then we have to wait for delivery, PDI, and dealer delivering to our site. So aggravated!

We ordered ours in February of 2014, was told 6-8 weeks it was built and off the line in March, we did not get it until May 12 weeks to be exact. The problem is the drivers, there are not enough to handle to overload. If one could go and pick it up from the factory or another dealer up there it would be so nice. But they will not let that happen. Hopefully you have it by now!

We do not have it by now. Called two weeks ago and told second or third week build. Told them I was about to cancel it and they were like that's stupid. Personally it's a matter of principle 4-6 weeks why not tell the truth and say 16 weeks oh I know cause nobody would prob order then. Just keep hearing how this is a Cadillac and we ordered a chevy last time. My exact words well this better be a Cadillac because after this wait everything better be on point if not bye bye surveyor!

Also told him I have a Cadillac and if I ordered a Cadillac then I expect Cadillac quality. Been through this three times before and this PDI will certainly be a long one and I don't care if a screw is out of place it will be fixed before I ever sign another contract. Dealer is great but this is certainly unexpected from them.
