Bulldog tongue jack

OKAY, While on a recent camping trip to Crooked river SP in Ga, I discovered what goes up does not always come down- at least not by pushing the button! I had to manually crank my Lippert tongue jack down every time, apparently the switch went bad. SO, I took the cover off, and looked at the switch- It seems that this older model (08) switch is not replaceable. So I got a Bulldog jack, 5 year warranty 3500 lb lift. My question is the tiny power wire supplying power to the jack is like a 14 gauge wire- and also not quite long enough to connect to where the Lippert was connected to the junction block on the inner frame. So, I went to my local Home D. store, and purchased 6 feet of 10 gauge wire. I feel that this jack should have this size wire on it from the factory. Anyone else have a Bulldog 3500 jack? Randy

UPDATE the wire it came with was a 12 gauge wire, but still too short, so I removed the cover and the terminal nut on the jack, crimped on a new terminal end on both ends of my new 10 gauge wire with some dielectric grease to prevent corrosion, and connected it to the junction block/relay under the frame. All works very well now. Crisis solved!!!!
