Caulking?

I was trying to do some touch up caulking along my roof line. The EPDM rubber roof materail folds down and over the side and touches a black metal rail with a black vinyl insert. I wanted to use some Eternabond instead of caulking but the railing appears too close to edge (1/4") for the Eternabond. What color and type of caulking is best? I called the factory and this is what was recommended. Is there a list of sealants used by Forest River? Nothing in their user manual. It is much to be desired, and too generic. Another subject.
I used some Dicor self-leveling lap sealant but the color is much lighter tan than my roof tan color. I had a lot of trouble keeping the sealant where it needs to be because of sealant running down. I tried using the blue masking tape to keep the sealant from spreading down. The factory job was not the best because they used a thin bead (1/8 or smaller and skipped several places). I checked the web and there was a video where someone took off all the caulking and railing. They put on the Eternabond and then the railing on top of that. I am not willing to do that much work at this time.
