CH751 Storage Compartment Keys, Security Alert
Supposedly the CH751 keys common useage has been discovered by the criminal element. Re: Ad in RV Journal, Summer 2011 page #69.
The suggestion is to upgrade to a different designed lock&key that incorporates 10K plus different key codes.

I have not heard anything from Forest River nor dealer.
However in my searching of CH751, I found that you can purchase a pair of CH751 keys for $7.00 on Amazon.com!
Anyone out there have any related info on this issue?

Been covered here about a year ago. Not much to worry in most campgrounds. I would recommend it for trailers in storage. By the way, if you change the locks, and leave your trailer for service, make sure and give them the new key,

New locks and keys can be purchsed at Lowes or Home Depot. Very easy to install and you won't have to worry about whats in your storage compartments.

A lock will only keep an honest person out. If a person wants to get into your TT changing locks will not keep them out.

Ditto,

I did however change ours to 2 Barrel locks instead of 1 CH and one thumb lock. Now you need a big bar to pull on the door to get it open and that is something someone would notice.

Some one got into my pass thru storage area and accessed the inside of my camper from under the bed.Stole all my booze, hope they got sick.

yea those keys are used every where, freightliner uses them on the school buses they build for the storage compartments

The CH-751 key not only works on campers but it is used on other things where i work. That was the first thing i changed was the storage locks.

Even the round keys and lock are all one number key from Camping World. Just like the standard keys and locks. I know, for I bought the round key locks from C/W
