Considering buying a Microlight 23LB - Any thoughts

We are considering purchasing a Microlight 23LB and would love any thoughts someone with experience might have to share about this model. The other TT we are considering is an Ecocamp 21 BH. I would love to hear any thoughts you have. This will be our first TT!

dont buy a microlite period

Do not buy a microlite product. I have a 2010 and the whole floor is sagging. I went to trade it in at camoing world and they wont take it because of the floor. there are no floor supports throughout the length of the trailer. The flooring is only 4 years old and is sagging. I will never buy a forrest river product again. Be sure you look under the floor to see if there is any supports, if none don't buy it period.

We had the sister camper, the Rockwood 2306... Exact same camper, different stickers. There are a few threads on here on both units if you do a search. We loved it for the two seasons we had it. Perfect for a small family. Easy to tow, yet a open feeling floor plan with the Murphy bed, which I'd strongly suggest. No significant issues. We'd still have it if it were up to me (but as the saying goes, happy wife, happy life).
Considering this is an entry level unit, I feel the build quality is pretty darn good.

Thank you!

Thank you KDHFan! I didn't know they were sisters and there is a lot more discussion on the Rockwood! I learned a lot!

Btw it is MicroLite not Microlight

The 23lb is a great camper. We have completed 2 seasons with our 2012 model. Have not had any issues. I agree with KDH I believe the build quality is pretty good although this is our first camper so I have nothing to compare it to. For example the dinette is built with aluminum tubes versus wood. We don't have the
Murphy bed. It would be nice to have but we manage without it.

Feel free to fire away with questions.

How old are your kids? The top bunk is getting tight for our 12 year old.

We have a good friend that has the 21 and loves it. We almost bought one before the 27RLWS but the DW wanted more room. For all that the DH got a bigger new truck. Haha. I'm all about the more room with the beast to pull it.

Rockwood and Flagstaff are twin brands, both made in the same factory and assembly line.
there are way more Rockwood dealers than Flagstaff dealers, so you'll usually find better prices on the Rockwood, due to more competition.

get some quotes from RVW and RVDirect and use them to shop with. you don't have your location listed so not sure if you're near either of them.
RVDirect sells both Rockwood and Flagstaff models. they are usually very close in price. the only difference i've seen from them, is if you want to pick it up at one of their various locations.

Wife and I just traded in our 2013 23 LB. Great camper and we enjoyed 2 years with no problems. Only reason for trading it in was because we wanted more room. We knew that we would stick with a flagstaff or Rockwood because for the money, they have very nice amenities.

We also have the Rockwood 2306, it's sister camper. The only reason we went with the Rockwood instead of the Flagstaff was because the guy selling the Rockwood gave us the better deal at the RV show.

We've had it for two years and still love it, even while we look into upgrading. We have three kids and they grow a lot faster than you think they will.

We also want to upgrade for our toys. Hubby just bought a motorcycle and it's hard to get my scooter in there.

But overall, we love it. It is roomy with the Murphy bed option, and there is a lot of storage. Easy to tow (so my husband says, he won't let me drive) and maneuver.

Great little camper with lots of features.
