Coreplast Screws Falling Out

I have a 2018 Flagstaff 27RLWS. After a recent trip I saw something stuck in one of the tire treads. It appears to be metal but was mangled to the point where its otherwise unrecognizable. When I crawled under to get a better look at the tire I noticed several of the screws and washers that secure the coreplast to the underbelly appear to have fallen out. Wondering if this is what is in the tire. What are these screws secured to? Is it possible that a few were just put in places where there was nothing behind them to secure to and if replaced they will just fall out again? Or is there something else going on?

In my unit those screws are into the bottom of the main frame rail of the unit. So there is a large 12 inch in my case I beam that the screws that hold up the coreplast are screwed into the bottom of. It is possible that some of the screws missed the I beam I suppose and were only held up my the coreplast, but not likely I would think. I would just look at all the screws along the edge that hold the in place and you would be able to see if there was a problem with your unit.

I think some of the newer units are not screws but shot in fasteners that look like screws.
