Cover help
OK, what kind of cover would be a good one to get. We have a Flagstaff 27RLWS. We have our eye on an Adco with a Tyvek top and designer side in a gray color.

Cover question
SITE TEAM EDIT: Duplicate threads merged into one as per the site guidelines.
I put this in the Flagstaff thread but didn't get any hits. What would be a good cover to get for our Flagstaff 27RLWS? We are looking at a Adco cover with the Tyvek roof.

I have used the ADCO Designer Tyvek Plus Wind RV covers on several different travel trailers over the years. Have never had any problems with the covers ripping or coming apart like some have had. I take my time before putting the cover on to make sure any sharp areas are covered. The foam pool noodles, when slit down one side, and tennis balls with an "X" cut into them are great to use in areas where you think the cover might rub and cause problems.

We have a 2016 27RLWS which we love. We live in the Adirondack mountains so we store our trailer indoors in the winter. Let's keep in touch so we can discuss issues which may arise with our TT's. Good luck with your cover.

We haven't had anything so far. Only the plastic strip under the slide out that has the fridge and couch on it ripped and let all the hoses hang down when we went to close it. How about you guys?

We did over 6,000 miles last year. Only problem we had in late September we sprung a leak in the cold water intake under the kitchen sink. Learned a lesson that it is better to take the door off under the sink rather than trying to squeeze in ( which I did with difficulty). Fixed with a hose clamp until we got back to our dealer. We had a pressure regulator in place but that did not prevent the hose leaking where it attached to the sink.

We just had ours 2 weeks, lol. We got it used for a good price. I think the people that had it before didn't use it but 2 times. It still looks and smells new inside. Same way with the outside. I did some caulking around the outside to keep up with the maintenance. We have our first scheduled campsite at Hershey Park campground the end of March. So we will see how everything goes then. We have about 18 years before we retire. We had a 2003 Coleman Bayside Elite pop up before this, which was a nice camper for a pop up.

The best of luck with your maiden voyage. I know that you will enjoy the TT. You will be on the road before us. Hopefully we will get ours out of storage in April as we have an appointment with Camping World in Harrisburg to have toppers installed. Our daughter lives in E-town so that gives us an opportunity to visit while the work is being done. Right after that we will stay at E-Town/Hershey KOA for a few days before heading out West. Enjoy and be safe.

I have a 2008 GMC 1500 5.3 crew cab. I bought tow mirrors for it for the trailer and they work great. The truck has 89,000 miles.

It's not so much putting the cover on as it is taking it off. Have someone on the ground watching for straps and the elastic on the front and rear bottoms snagging on anything and everything they could. Specially if the wind is blowing. I use tennis balls on the downspouts. Pull up the front, then sides, and drop it off the back. I drop mine off the front because of the trees behind the tt. We are on our 4th year with our cover.

We are getting pipe insulation to go around all the sharp points and the little rain spouts that stick out. You can get that stuff in all different sizes. Definitely will keep watch as we take it off.
