Delamination

So. quick update on my delamination problem. Going on the 2nd year of the trailer wintering at Paradise RV in Grande Prairie,Alberta. Now have delam on both sides, roof, and front end. Service guy says the worst he's seen. Getting a little more pissed off by the day. Mentioned lawyer and getting a little more response. Any suggestions out there? Told them to give me what I paid for it on trade in on something similar or bigger, waiting, again!!!

Good luck... No dealer I know would go there, unfortunately. What's the factory saying?

Delamination

I have not been able to find anyone to talk to at the factory. The dealer keeps telling me they are getting the run around from them. Doesn't help when the dealer goes through 5 service managers in 2 years.

When you say "second year wintering at...." are you saying they've *had* your RV all this time?...continuously?

If so are you making payments on it while not being able to use it all this time????

I would start searching or the CEO of the manufacturer or the owner. It's tine for you to climb the ladder of success since the lower people are not giving you satisfaction. Google the corporate hierarchy ad you will find the top dog. Give them a call and you will probably find they don't know anything about your problem. A lawyer is also a good but remember they love other peoples money. Whether yours or theirs. Try the CEO first. Good luck.

I also had a delamination issues on my 2009 Flagstaff 831fkbss that started 6 months after we picked it up...it was a special order. It went back the 18th of October 2009 to have the entire rear replaced under warranty and we finally got it back on May the 22, 2010...a full 8 months later. Upon picking up the trailer, I noticed that both sides were now delminating in several places as well as the areas around the skirt where the skirt meets the side panels and the front corners near the front cap. They said they would bring the trailer back to fix but I had already booked my summers camping trips and was NOT going to wait 8 months again. Upon getting the unit home, I called FR and was told that I should NOT have accepted the unit and instead, returned it! What was I going to do for the summer after spending over 28G on this unit just 1 year before and the deposits on my 5 trips??? I asked if they would pick up the trailer after the camping season and was told that should NOT be a problem...well when The season was over, Guess what...They would fix the unit but at my cost as it was now OUT OF WARRANTY! I kept it for another 2 years and got rid of it for a 2013 Columbus 320rs that has been trouble free. As far as I'm concerned...ultra lites means ultra crap-man-ship!

Delamination

Wow that really sucks. I can't see me paying this good money for something that's their fault. Further, I can not understand why it takes 6-8 weeks to order and have a brand new one delivered but it takes 8 months to repair? I think I would take a few days off and visit the big boss and find out what in the hell they are doing! Sad story you have. I only hope my 27G trailer doesn't go the same way!!!

Wow, that's is hortible. I'd be livid. I'm always looking at my camper for delam, especially as it sits in winter covered in snow and ice. None on my camper, thank goodness. I really hope you can reach someone at the factory. That is who you need to he corresponding with. Not your dealer. They've already made their money and won't bend over backwards to seek a timely resolution.
