Delamination Dilemma

Well... my delamination fear has come true. I am adamant about checking and sealing the roof of my 29FBSS and cannot find where any water may have leaked. My gut tells me it could have been from a summer of Direct sunlight and heat during storage. So... what is my next step? To fix or not? Any other options? Maybe cut and replace matching pieces on both sides of front window? Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

Did you check the marker light. They are notoriously known for leaking.

Marker light was removed and resealed. Never thought to check in the past. Thanks for bringing it up so others are aware.

X2. by the looks of the delam, it looks like it may have originated at the marker light.

What are the lights sealed with?

I added a bead of silicon behind the marker lights and gasket.

Mine had Dicor.

there is a company on line who sells a kit with chemicals I believe they even have it on utube I seen it before maybe worth looking for. My friend had a company had a company rip his apart cost thousands of bucks, He said 5,600 out the door.

They seal them with Proflex sealant. I do not recommend silicone because it will not reliably stick to the wall material.

Proflex on the walls; Dicor lap sealant on the roof only.

I would make an appointment with the factory in Millersburg Indiana. They will repair that like it was new very reasonably.

This wasn't the company I saw it compound some how turned the rot and there stuff into another which sort of made a wood type and glued to to the outside wall which they show you how to clamp or compress it together. They also show what it it looks like clued and how hard it becomes.

Stay away from silicone and a R/V.
There are far better products than silicone. (which will never stick to itself in the future)

Proflex, Dicor (leveling and non-leveling) and SuperFlex for Alpha Roof material. Lexel is far superior to silicone too.

Contact the factory. They will fix it better than any repair shop I've heard of.
