I use SatFinder. It is free and fairly easy to use. You can just use the compass setting or the AR setting to see the actual place in the sky where you line up crosshairs to find where to point the dish. The hubs and I can usually get it to work in 10 minutes or so.
He will get the dish close to where it needs to be. Then, he will stay outside to do the fine tuning and I will go in and tell him when the signal is the best.
