Kind of like the state avatars - when do you fill them in? does driving through the state count or do you have to spend the night at walmart?

I have yet to get 1 of those map thingys mainly because I can't travel much(yet). I think some folks count the state even if they drove thru a short corner.
But I have already counted the 4 nights. Thanks to everybody(save 1 ) for the replies.

I have two TTs, one is connected to full hookups next to my house, the other is not. When I stay in the one next to house I count it as camping; when I stay in the other I count it as boondocking.
Sadly, I'm not organized enough to keep count of anything, so I've not really thought about it before. To seriously answer the question I'd have to know how and where you fixed dinner. Ultimately, if you felt like you were camping, then you were. No need to justify it to anyone else.

Years ago we had the perfect park-like setting on our property. 1/3 was wooded and the other 2/3 was the yard and house. My thought was to set up our then Popup on the wooded property to enjoy the Popup close to home, when we couldn't get away. Perfect, Right?
I was instantly reminded that I would be the only one sleeping there because our nice comfy bed was within walking distance! So....No backyard / driveway camping here.

Maybe the reason it just me and Jake (the lab) is I would have stayed in the Popup anyway lol

To be honest, the same way I would have fixed it in the house. Microwave and a salad bowl. And ate while sitting in my recliner.
