Electric Rear Stabilizer Jacks on 5th wheel...
Ordering a Flagstaff 524rlws and have been reading that some people don't like rear power stabilizer jacks so I'm looking for feedback on them. How well do they work? Are just plain scissors jacks better? I still might have time to remove them from my order and get scissors jacks if scissor jacks are better. Thx

I ordered them on my trailer, they work. I am not convinced they are any better than scissors jacks, just more convenient.
The electric motors are expensive to replace. I drug my rear and killed a motor. about $400.00

I like mine.
They auto-adjust for differences in side-to-side ground height and work well.
I don't try to raise my rig with them. I pre-level ever so slightly nose low, snug up the rear stabs and then use the front landing gear to come back to level. Works great!
I also have two manual jacks that I place in the center. One at the front axle on one side and another at the rear axle on the other side. Eliminates a lot of bounce from the torsion axles.

I like them also. As said above, I don't think they're any better than the manual stabilizers, but they're not any worse, and they sure are more convenient.

I love ours. There NOT levelers, there stableziers. I like the idea of adding another one just ahead of the axels, it would help get rid of some of the spring action. If I were buying S new rig I would get six position auto levelers.

I do the same "pre-load" procedure which works well for me. Use a tripod on the kingpin vice the center jacks plus X chocks on both sides to firm it up some more.

With the stab jacks in front of the axle, you can sell the kingpin tripod and not have to stow it.

If you're asking me, I modified a set of powered rear stab jacks and bolted them on the 2x4 cross tube in front of the axles. Tried the scissor jacks which worked fine other than it required a power drill and running 2 jacks down. With the rear stab jack in front of the axle, I just press a switch and they go down or up. Much easier on a LAZY OLD MAN.
