Facebook Sticker!!!!

Not very happy about having a Facebook sticker on my brand new Forest River 5th wheel!!! REALLY I think they should pay me for advertising their website on my camper!! I tried to remove it but it is really stuck on. Anyone else have any luck removing one? Beware before you know it they will be stuck on new trucks, cars, etc.... Do they come from factory with sticker or does dealer put it on? Guess i'm done ranting!!

Most dealers try to get free advertising. Goo be gone or wd40 should do the trick.

I tell the dealer if they put on any advertising other than a license plate frame, the deal is off.

I have had good luck with a heat gun to remove unwanted stickers just don't overheat the area the sticker is attached to.

When DH and I were at the our local RV show, I saw a lot of FB bumper stickers, I was not impressed with bit of subtle advertising. I would have actually requested that it be removed or reimburse us the actual value of the advertising.. i.e. a dealer sticker on a truck in my area can generate $700-$1000 worth of business.

When we took delivery of our 2017 8528IKWS last year, it had just recently arrived from the factory. The first thing I did was go around and remove all that crap before each had a chance to really settle in for the duration. Almost all of them pulled off with little effort. I think that was at least partially due to getting to them right away.

Part of the ownership ritual for me is spending a quality Saturday afternoon "De-stickerizing" my unit. All the 'nanny' stickers like:

Quote:
WARINING. Sticking a knife in your eyes can lead to permanent blindness.
that are liberally plastered all over my unit. The ones advertising features are my most hated one. I already own the damn thing. Stop telling me its "Zamp Solar Ready".

Goo Gone works well.

Ok, here it goes, lol. Will Goo Gone help get the stickers off before you take them off, or should you try and peel them off, then use Goo Gone? I've seen it in stores before, but never payed much attention to it. I don't like seeing the stickers on the unit either when I have all the info in my owners binder.

Soften the glue with a heat gun or wait until it's sitting in the hot sun.
Peel off and then use goo gone or WD40 or laquer thinner to remove the
remaining sticky stuff.

Don't take the Range Hood outside to let the sun heat it up before you remove All the Warning Labels from it! Don't forget the labels on the Rims also, and the one at the Top of the Ladder,if equipped! Youroo!!
