Flagstaff 25KS Outside Trim

We have a 2014 Flagstaff 25 and most of the trim on the outside is cracked and just falling off. We have owned several campers and never ever seen one do this before. I'm not sure if they used the cheapest vinyl trim they could find on this camper.

Anyhow I want to replace all the trim on the outside and we are thing of going black this time?

Any thoughts of changing the trim to black. It would look ok because the windows and doors have black trim already.

This is what I am looking at buying:

As a Flagstaff Micro Lite 25KS owner (2015), I'd love to see pics of your issue. If the trim pieces are damaged, then what damaged them? Sun/weather? If so, then I don't think I'd go back with black color trim.

Also check in with the Mini Lite/Micro Lite 'Social Group' under the 'Community' tab.

Sorry I did not mention the trim is the original white on the RV now. I was thinking of going to black to cut down on the mildew being seen. The trim gets pretty nasty looking.

I have some pics of it and will try to post later.

It's pretty bad looking. It's pretty like this everywhere. Like I said we have own four other campers and never seen one do this. Pretty Sad, but easy and cheap to fix.

25ks

I have a 2012 model and I am not seeing any issue with the trim. Mine stays in the drive way. Uncovered during camping season. March to November.

Still debating if I want to replace all the white trim to black? Since it needs to be replaced anyway.

If weather (sun, rain) is causing the cracking, etc. then I'd go back with white (and cover somehow). I'd think black would make sun damage worse.

I also had this issue on a 2009 Flagstaff 831fkbss.They make a roll of replacement vinyl that can be purchased at most RV dealers. I redid all the vinyl inserts and put a small bead of white caulk to keep the vinyl strip in place, took time but that part looked like new when I was finished. I also had the 2 sides and back delaminate after 8 months, the front window leaked from day one (The factory couldn't find the leak)...Long story short, we kept it for 3 years and dumped it. It spent more time in the shop(s) than it did in Campgrounds or our house. It was the WORST RV out of the 7 we had ever owned. FR did nothing to help and the dealer tried to help but was 5 hours away. I should have known from the start that it was a lemon when our first trip out...the A/C didn't work. The entire A/C unit had to be replaced.

Like I said we had owed other campers and have never seen this before. I think they used a cheap material for the trim maybe not UV protected..

We decided to stay with the white trim. I will buy a couple of rolls from amazon and replace it all myself. Pretty easy to do.

Well replacing all the trim a little at a time. Pretty mucj the entire camper needs to be done.

While I was up there and looking at the slide awing I don't see it lasting much longer.

What still needs to be replace...

What I have replaced so far. Yes I still need to seal up the ends.
